The Cost of Living

Parts become pieces, and

pieces get lost

day by day,

year after year

until, you wake up

and realize

who you were

is no longer who you are

and the pieces that once held you together

no longer fit.

    Sounds like your narrator is going through the reconstruction of her/his psyche here, and, it’s always scary at the beginning, but you just have to have faith, and, let go, after all, life knows where it’s taking you…

        that’s right, just leave it all up to fate, as fate already knows where you’re going in life, and letting go was, the best decision i’d ever made…
